A highly themed family friendly hotel, in the heart of Gothenburg
From the big idea to the smallest detail, we help clients bring their projects to life. From that ‘Wow’ factor first impression to the more intimate, ‘Ah, did you notice that?’ moment. The Grand Curiosa Hotel is the embodiment of this idea.

An ever changing challenge, from conception to completion
We developed the concept of Liseberg’s first on site hotel over several years and through multiple iterations. First with pen and ink sketches exploring various layouts and building styles then through 3d volume models and eventually to full architectural visualisations.

Working alongside Swedish architecture giants Wingårdhs and interior architects STAM we added themed decoration, artwork, signage, sculpture, animation and on-site art direction. We continue to add and value to the project with ongoing art direction.
The devil is in the details
Developing appealing merchandise.
We worked with partners to design and produce merchandise that was suited to the target audience and enriched your hotel stay while encapsulating a memory of the environment.
Strong storytelling is at the heart of the hotel’s design. It adds a depth of experience to a stay at the hotel, a dynamic journey through the life and travels of the Daler family. An eclectic collection of artworks fills the space, and a magical suspended sculpture hangs through five floors of the atrium reflecting five themed floors. Huge paintings adorn the walls of the smugglers bar. Exotic goods line the shelves, and fine fabrics hang from the ceiling in the auction room. Dine in the market hall or a Hong Kong backstreet and sip a cocktail on the roof as rollercoasters dive below.
