When Liseberg wanted to create a new home for their rabbit mascots and a new children's area, Kaninlandet, was born. Quarry Fold Studio was the creative force behind the creation of this enchanting land. In a wider process which involved a rebrand of the whole park, the rabbit mascot was separated from the brand mark and the rabbit rehomed in its own world. The new area was to cover 10,000 square meters and would include 7 delightful new rides, games, a playground, fast food and retail units. It was the overground expression of the rabbit’s underground home.
An underlying story that ties everything together.
Each attraction had it's backstory, and like an iceberg, what you could see was just a fraction of the whole. The inventive rabbits had automated every element of their lives with these eccentric inventions. Quarry Fold Studio designed the entire area, working with ride manufacturers and architects.
In 2021 we designed the new attraction Underlandet, and for the first time visitors could experience the underground world first hand. We were involved in every phase from conception to completion, providing concept art, on site art direction, mesmerising video effects and animation along with production and print files. We worked alongside manufacturers around the globe to facilitate the award-winning dark ride for Liseberg's youngest visitors (and the older ones too).

Alongside Underlandet, we helped develop the new stage, Kaninscenen and all its theatrical productions and live shows, providing full scale printed artwork for sets and props, along with concept and construction drawings for 3D props, costume designs, posters and promotion material for multiple applications including print and web.
We provide art direction and production artwork for all seasons within Kaninlandet including Easter, Summer, Halloween and Christmas and have partnered with companies such as Bubs Godis, Tweek: Sweets with Benefits, Änglamark, Mio and Toms Godis to help facilitate special events and promotions inside and outside the park.
